Zefro is made by Walene, which is one person — Waleed Hussein — operating as a sole trader from Lebanon. Using Zefro means agreeing to what is on this page.
Version 1.4 — effective 30 October 2026.
We are not your coach. Your coach is.
This is the most important thing on this page, so it goes first. Zefro is a tool for recording training and food. It can tell you what your own numbers show and what a pattern like that usually means. It never tells you what to do about it, and it never changes your training by itself — that stays with you and your coach. It is not a dietitian and not a doctor. Nothing in the app is medical advice, and nothing in it should be treated as a reason to ignore someone qualified who has told you otherwise. If you have a medical condition, if you are pregnant, if you are injured, or if you are unsure whether a kind of training or eating is safe for you, ask a professional. Numbers an app calculates from your height and weight do not know anything about you.
Heart rate, power, GPS and Health readings, and everything Zefro works out from them, are information about your training. They are not medical advice, and they are not a way to detect, diagnose or monitor a medical condition. A reading from a strap, sensor or watch can be wrong.
If you are being coached through Zefro, your coaching agreement is between you and your coach, and Zefro is not part of it. We do not employ your coach, do not supervise them, do not review their programmes and are not responsible for their advice or their conduct. What you agree with them — what they will do, what you will pay, what happens if either of you stops — is yours to agree and yours to enforce.
Coaching conversations sometimes involve health information, for example an injury, a pregnancy or an eating-disorder history, that you choose to share with your coach in a chat. Sharing it is your choice. We do not ask for it in chat, and neither Zefro nor your coach is a healthcare provider: chat is not a substitute for medical advice.
We do not check anyone's credentials
A coach can write anything they like about their qualifications and experience, and Zefro shows it as their claim. We do not verify it. There is no badge, no tick and no approval process, and you should not read the absence of one as an endorsement or its presence as a guarantee, because neither exists. Check your coach out the way you would check anyone you are about to trust with your health.
Money
Money between you and your coach never goes through Zefro. Zefro does not process payments between a coach and a client, takes no percentage of what a coach charges, and issues no invoices. A coach can send you a card in a chat that links to their own payment page (their own payment link or bank details, for example). Zefro never receives, holds or sees that payment, and the page it links to is not ours. If a payment between you and your coach goes wrong, or you think a payment request is fraudulent, we cannot resolve it and we will not take a side. It is a matter between the two of you. If you think a request is fraudulent, do not pay it, and report it using the report button in the chat.
Recording your training and your food is free and will stay free. Coaches can use Zefro free with up to two clients; coaching plans for more clients are paid monthly subscriptions, bought in the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and the plan, its price and its client limit are shown before you confirm. Coach plans never change what a coached client pays, which is nothing.
Zefro+ and subscriptions
Logging food and training is free. Zefro+ is a paid subscription that adds the automatic estimates and AI features described in the app. You buy it through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and the store, not Zefro, takes your payment.
- The price and length are shown by the store before you confirm. Zefro does not set different prices for different countries; the store converts the price to your currency.
- A free trial, where one is offered, lasts 7 days. Unless you cancel before it ends, it turns into a paid subscription and the store charges you.
- It renews by itself at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancel in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings, at least a day before the renewal date; deleting the app or your Zefro account does not cancel it.
- Purchases are final: Zefro does not offer refunds. Where the law gives you a right to a refund or to withdraw, nothing here takes it away.
- Usage limits. Each AI feature has a monthly limit, and the app shows you how much of it you have used.
Your account and your data
- Zefro fits itself to you. The service includes reminders and coaching timed to your routine, worked out from what you log. The privacy policy says what is used and how long it is kept.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- What you log is yours. You can export all of it and delete all of it, free, at any time. A página de privacidade explains exactly what deletion does and the things it does not remove.
- Location, heart-rate, sensor and Health data are used as described in a página de privacidade.
- Do not upload anything you do not have the right to upload, and do not upload another person's photographs or measurements as your own.
- Do not use Zefro to harass anyone, to break the law, or to try to reach data belonging to people who have not shared it with you.
Reporting content, and takedown notices
If something on Zefro infringes your copyright or another right, or is illegal, send a notice to contact@zefro.app or use the “Report abuse or illegal content” topic on the support page. A notice should contain:
- Your name and an email address where we can reach you.
- What the content is and exactly where it is: the link to the shared plan or profile, or the conversation and message, so we can find it.
- Why it is infringing or illegal; for copyright, the work you own or act for, and a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner.
When a notice is complete, we remove or disable the content promptly and tell the person who shared it, with the reason. They can reply with a counter-notice saying why the content should stay; we pass it to you, and restore the content unless you tell us within 10 business days that you have started legal action. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly share content that infringes the rights of others. Knowingly false notices can have legal consequences for the sender.
If you use Zefro on iPhone
For the iPhone app, these terms are between you and Walene, not Apple. The Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app, and where it and these terms differ on the licence of the app itself, that agreement governs. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, for maintenance or support, or for claims about it, and has no obligation to provide them. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms for the iPhone app and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not in a country under a US government embargo or on a US list of prohibited or restricted parties, and that you will not use the app in breach of US export rules.
What we can do
We can suspend or close an account that is being used to harm someone or to attack the service. We will tell you why unless telling you would itself cause harm.
We can change or stop parts of Zefro. If we remove something you rely on, or shut the service down, we will give notice and you will be able to take your data with you first.
What we do not promise
Zefro is provided as it is. We work hard on it — logging is built not to lose your data and to work with no signal — but we cannot promise the app will never be unavailable, never contain a mistake, or never lose anything. We do not promise any particular result from using it, because that depends on you and, if you have one, on your coach.
Nutrition information comes from public databases and from other users, and it is often wrong. Check the packet. Do not rely on a number in Zefro for anything where being wrong matters medically — an allergy, in particular.
Zefro+'s automatic estimates can also be wrong — a nutrition number estimated from a photo, a workout built for you, an answer from Ask AI, or an automatic check on a food someone else submitted is a best effort, not a verified fact, and none of it is medical, dietetic, or training advice. Do not rely on any of it for a decision where being wrong matters — an allergy, a medical condition, or anything your own doctor or dietitian should weigh in on instead. We are not liable for a decision you make based on one of these estimates.
Content made by AI
Zefro+ uses an AI provider to produce estimates, drafts and answers ("AI output"). AI output is made automatically, is not checked by a person before you see it, can be wrong or incomplete, and may be similar to output other people receive. It is information only. It is not medical, nutrition, dietetic or training advice, and it does not create a professional relationship with you. We give no warranty that AI output is accurate, complete or right for you. You decide whether to use it, change it or send it on, and you are responsible for that decision.
If you share AI output with another person or publish it, or you send us content of your own, you are responsible for it. Do not present AI output as advice from a qualified professional, and do not share it or send content in a way that breaks the rules in "What you send and share". To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover Walene for losses, including reasonable legal costs, from a claim by someone else that arises from your misuse of Zefro, your content, or your sharing or publishing of AI output in breach of these terms. Nothing in this paragraph limits a right you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
Limit of liability. To the extent the law allows, Walene is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you for anything arising from Zefro is limited to the greater of 50 US dollars or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything consumer law says cannot be excluded.
Age
You must be at least 16 to use Zefro, everywhere we are available. The app asks for your date of birth when you create an account and will not let you continue if you are under 16. Our privacy page explains what happens to that date. If you are under 16, do not create a Zefro account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Lebanon, where Zefro is operated from, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country where you live, such as under EU or UK law or US state law, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country. Nothing in these terms takes those rights from you.
Changes, and how to reach us
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will say so in the app rather than quietly editing this page. Questions: contact@zefro.app.
